<h4>Christopher Ahuja is a small business owner, dedicated and community-oriented individual whose journey in Los Angeles spans over two decades. Recognizing the importance of active participation in community service he has become a driving force for positive change in the city. His commitment to effecting change, one step at a time, underscores his belief in personal accountability and responsibility.</h4>A proud alumnus of California State University San Bernardino, Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science. His dedication to education and learning is evident in his ongoing pursuit of knowledge. Currently enrolled at The Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Christopher is working towards a Public Leadership Credential.In the wake of the pandemic, Christopher, fueled by a desire to contribute to a more equitable and sustainable city, realized the need to elevate his community involvement. He serves as the Chair of the Neighborhood Council Sustainability Alliance, Treasurer for Feel The Bern SFV (Bernie Sanders Democratic Club), and is a dedicated member of the California Biodiversity Working Group. These roles showcase his commitment to broader issues of sustainability, social justice, and biodiversity.In his personal life, Christopher is deeply committed to his family. A loving husband to Maggie Nguyen and a proud father to daughters Athena and Artemis, family values are at the core of his identity. The Ahuja family faced a challenging time when Artemis fell ill at just six weeks old, weeks before the onset of the Covid pandemic. This trying period led Christopher to rediscover his faith with the Catholic Church, finding solace and support that played a crucial role in Artemis's full recovery.Beyond his community and family commitments, Christopher finds joy and fulfillment in the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Combat Submission Wrestling. His multifaceted engagement in education, community service, family life, and personal interests paints a picture of a well-rounded individual dedicated to making a positive impact at various levels of society.<h4></h4>

We link the Valley to the Westside through Heavy Rail. World class cities have world class public transportation. High capacity, efficiency, reliability.

HealthcareImproving and expanding healthcare services for veterans. Support reforms within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to ensure timely and quality healthcare for veterans.Education and Job TrainingThis includes support for the GI Bill and other programs aimed at helping veterans transition to civilian life with the skills needed for employment.

We support a ceasefire that brings a stop to fighting, a release of all hostages, and a surge in humanitarian assistanceWith diplomacy and negotiation there can be a peaceful solution to this tragic conflict. We must also support a two-state solution.Peace should always be the goal but we can only get there if we are objective with our policy making.

Support aggressive measures to combat climate change implementing the Green New Deal, a proposal to address climate change and economic inequality through a comprehensive set of policies which would save our planet and&nbsp;create millions of new jobs in the clean energy sector

Environment and Sustainability

I support a single-payer healthcare system, often referred to as "Medicare for All." This would provide government-funded healthcare for all Americans. Healthcare is a human right

I will advocate for restraint in using military force and believe that it should only be used in self-defense or in response to a direct threat. An emphasis on Diplomacy and Negotiation is a must. We must avoid long term military commitments and focus on domestic priorities such as economic prosperity, infrastructure, and social welfare.

Making public colleges and universities tuition-free for all students. Supports measures to reduce or forgive student loan debt.

Protecting and advancing for the rights of the LGBTQ community. Both in the United States and Global LGBTQ Rights. I oppose discrimination against LGBTQ individuals in all forms, including in employment, housing, and public accommodations. We must protect LGBTQ people from discrimination and harassment.

I will propose, support, and vote on legislation aimed at addressing homelessness and providing resources for affordable housing, mental health services, addiction treatment, and other supportive services for unhoused individuals such as job training. Collaboration with local government officials, community organizations.

Every person deserves the right to make their own reproductive choices, free from government interference. We stand with individuals in their right to access safe and legal abortion care. Protecting reproductive freedom is essential for gender equality and bodily autonomy. We reject any attempts to restrict or criminalize reproductive healthcare.

I support comprehensive immigration reform, including a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, and protections for DACA recipients.

Paid family and medical leave for all workers in the United States

We support Universal Background Checks, Closing Gun Sale Loopholes, and implementing red flag laws. The Federal Assault Weapons Ban (AWB), officially known as the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act, was a provision of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994. Let's renew this law as it expired in 2004.

I vehemently condemn all forms of bigotry, including Antisemitism and Islamophobia. Hatred and discrimination against any individual or group based on their religious beliefs have no place in our society. We must stand united against prejudice and work towards fostering understanding, respect, and inclusion for all communities.

Comprehensive criminal justice reform, including an end to private prisons, and addressing issues such as systemic racism, and mass incarceration.

Fight Against Income Inequality

As a Democratic candidate, I stand in solidarity with the people of Armenia and Artsakh and support their right to self-determination. I condemn the violence and aggression perpetrated by Azerbaijan and call for a peaceful resolution to the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy. It is essential to uphold human rights and ensure the safety and security of all individuals in the region.
